The Center for Nonlinear Science at Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for the Joseph Ford Postdoctoral Fellowships.
The Fellows will become key players in the collaboration between Georgia Institute of Technology (Predrag Cvitanović, Roman Grigoriev and Mike Schatz), U New Hampshire (John F. Gibson), ISIT Austria (Björn Höf), Friedrich-Alexander U (Marc Avila), and U Sheffield (Ashley Willis); the Rayleigh-Benard experiment is a collaboration with Rutgers University (Konstantin Mischaikow) and Virginia Tech (Mark Paul). Fellows will have access to the full range of university resources and receive a salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience, as well as a Fellow research/travel account. Candidates with a Ph.D. in physics, applied mathematics, mechanical engineering, or a related field and background in nonlinear dynamics and experience with experimentation or computer simulations are encouraged to apply.
