What is on the exam?

• Material covered in the course from September 28 to November 26 (Strogatz chapters 7 to 12)

Ground rules

• Open book, lecture notes, can use a calculator or a laptop
• bring your own letter-size paper, remember to put your name on the top, and number the pages
• you have 2 hours 50 min to complete the exam + 15 minutes to upload on Canvas
• if online, keep your camera on, pointed at your work area. Ask questions in the General channel chat, so everyone can see the answers
• absolutely no googling
• sail solo - no collaboration/discussions

• If you are doing a project, it is due 5:30 pm, Tuesday, December 14, uploaded to Canvas.

FAQs

• What topics will be covered on the final exam?
  Everything starting with HW7 to Strogatz chapter 12; nothing covered in lectures after Thanksgiving.
• Will it be everything covered in the lecture and in the homework?
  Everything in homeworks; from the material assigned as reading, only things worked out in detail in lectures (not just mentioned in passing).
• Will the exam will be in the classroom?
  Yes; if in classroom, please be masked, keep distance in seating.
  If you take the final online, we'll run them synchronously, start at the same time, end at the same time (except for the students that have arrangements for taking longer).

  The final exam is 20% of the overall grade.
