Instructions for the CNS Webinar host
It takes a modern person max 30 minutes to log into GaTech.WebEx.com and schedule and/or start a meeting. Try to host the meeting from a computer connected to hardwired internet (wireless has small bandwidth, gets a worse screen resolution). Of course, there is no telling for folks over 30. (Full disclosure: then it can take forever to get the conference room sound and mike just right, and there is inevitably some insanity in the way in which GaTech projectors are set up. But that's what you expect.)
Howey N501 projector: Epson PowerLite 6110i
Aspect Ratio: 4:3 (supports 16:9)
Native Resolution: 1024 x 768 (XGA)
Resize: 640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1280 x 1024
Speaker phone (see CNS administrator): ClearOne.com CHAT 50
place into the middle of the conference table, using USB extension cable
if using a laptop,
install the driver
OIT laptop: request here. Can connect to Ethernet in W505 and N110. Request Ethernet permission for your laptop - contact the SoP Chair if there is a problem.
To schedule a CNS Webinar, log into GaTech.WebEx.com and schedule the meeting (currently only the faculty has access permission). WebEx.com will send you the video-meeting link. Then you can send out invitations with the meeting link and number. When announcing the webinar, remember to also distribute announcement to cns-webinar@lists.gatech.edu, to alert friends off campus.
